I thought I had got done speeding earlier this month.
Got a prosecution notice from South Yorkshire Police charging me with using my mobile while driving (which I hadn't).
Rang the number up ready to have an almighty row, when the woman said "we sent the wrong prosecution notice out by mistake, you weren't using your phone, you WERE speeding." but because they cocked up, they couldn't proceed with the prosecution! There is a God after all!!! LMFAO

You think thats bad YNBK, at one stage a few years ago I had 18 points on my license, but as the wife had taken 3 and my sister was conned into 3 and a mate taking another 3 ... <laugh> I'll see your VXR and throw in my XFR and watch your little hairdressers car shiver as I blast past <laugh> Did a speed awareness course in Scunthorpe a few years ago and on my out of the spot was done for speeding again, bastards.

I have to say that I'm a lot cleverer these days and don't have any points at all, and haven't had to push any onto anyone for a while. Wife bollocked me, sister disowned me and mate thought I was a twat. Never mind they all love me now <laugh>

Just like a double jepordy law, classic <ok> You can't stand trial for the same crime twice !!!

    Still applies for driving offences.....

Didn't think double jepordy law applied in the UK at all

    Be careful mate...

Former cabinet minister Chris Huhne and his ex-wife are to stand trial next Monday over allegations she took speeding points for him so he could avoid prosecution.
The Lib Dem MP, 58, pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.
His former wife, Vicky Pryce, has previously pleaded not guilty to the same offence.
They were charged last year in relation to the alleged offence in 2003.
Mr Huhne, from Eastleigh, Hampshire, resigned as energy and climate change secretary after he was charged. He remained as Liberal Democrat MP for Eastleigh.
The charge relates to an incident in March 2003 when Mr Huhne's car was allegedly caught by a speed camera on the motorway between Stansted Airport in Essex and London.
It is alleged that between 12 March and 21 May 2003, Ms Pryce falsely informed police that she was the driver of the car so Mr Huhne could avoid prosecution.
The BBC's Clive Coleman, at London's Southwark Crown Court, said the charge was formally put to Mr Huhne during Monday's hearing, to which he replied "Not guilty".
Ms Pryce, 60, from Clapham, south London, and Mr Huhne, who are both on bail, will go on trial at Southwark Crown Court next Monday.

YNBK had a Spires exhaust fitted last year, and the neighbors hate it, as it rattles every window on the estate. Scares the crap out of people who I overtake as its like a jet fighter screaming at them. 6010 BHP and more torq than a torq factory <ok>

Haha I had an exhaust fitted in November Cobra and it was 96 decibels on tickover

Neighbours, Girlfriend fell out with me, car alarms would go off when I went past in low revs lol

Had to change it so I could hear my daughter talking from the back.

mines running 300bhp atm pointless doing much else though.

Friend has a Vauxhall Tigra that has done 1/4 of a mile in 9.8 seconds and he used to use it has his daily runner

I had a similar experience on the A66 last year. Should have been a 6 pointer as it was allegedly me doing 96 in a 60 limit (I had spotted them & stood on the anchors bigstyle!). Got off as they thought my car was a light van (hence 60mph limit). It's an E Class Merc!! Got 'off' letter framed & hanging in the lavvy for moments of quiet contemplation & satisfaction.

They're a bit dull now, they've taken out all the car crash stuff and now all you get is a nice little chat about how naughty it is to speed.

I got nicked twice in two weeks, got a speed awareness for one, but the other was 96 on the M62, so a bit screwed on that one.

I got done last year for doing 38mph in a 30mph zone - what a joke. They offered me the speed awareness course and a £90 fine or 3 points and a £60 fine. As the points made no difference to my insurance renewal quote I told them to stuff their course and paid the cheaper fine.
