A really good read. for those who can't be arsed with reading the whole thing here is the summary:

    Best player: Michu

It’s an easy answer, the Spanish striker has been a revelation since his £2million move from Rayo Vallecano, and will be leaving many clubs scratching their heads at missing out on him. The 27-year-old started out in midfield but his lethal finishing led to him playing upfront and finishing as the club’s top scorer with 22 goals. The likes of Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are now keen on signing him, and the Swans would certainly sell him for a healthy profit again as they did with their stars last summer, who it must be said were not at all successful after leaving the Liberty Stadium – perhaps something worth thinking about for Michu?

    Worst player: Luke Moore

He’s not a regular, so it’s not altogether important, but the club could ideally do with better backup than Luke Moore, who only managed 3 goals all season and is simply not a player good enough for this level.

    Final grade: B

It’s perhaps a generous grade for a mid-table side, but for a club of Swansea’s size to be so comfortable in the Premier League and bringing home silverware is fantastic, all the while playing some great, entertaining, attacking football and winning the hearts of neutrals. Laudrup and many of their players will be linked with moves away now, though it’s hard to see why anyone would want to leave this club that is so much on the up.

    heartwarming stuff! <cool>

No it's not - was given his chance toward the end of the season and blew it!

True, we need better than Moore, but surely Shechter has to get worst player. I would say he is probably the worst striker we have had at Swansea for 5/6 years.
Worked hard, but offered nothing whatsoever to the team. I still somehow like the fella though.

Yes, he was a decent guy but isn't anywhere near the level we need.

Luke Moore is not P.L. standard, but he is a classy player. At best he is a squad player here, but he needs to go to a Championship Club.

Shechter was a real mystery. Who decided he was good enough for the P.L.? He clearly wasn't. A very poor decision to sign him,in my opinion. Hope there are no more like him in the pipeline. Perhaps Jenkins is worried as well.

Odd thing about Moore. He was always left out, often Shecter being preferred, but when he got his chance he did chip in with a few goals and then was left out again.

Laudrup actually commented at the time that he was unlucky, that Moore was doing a job when he came in but had to be dropped for tactical reasons. Even so, I could never understand why Shecter got the nod before him.

I sense a sort of Bartley situation here - a player not being used for reasons that none of us can quite fathom.

I wonder if Moore's personality has held him back.

    He's a very quiet,undemonstrative, almost apologetic, individual.

I like him a lot,and really wanted him to succeed. As already stated,I think he's a classy player.

Luke Moore I guess is everyones punchbag. Ive seen enough **** players over the years to know Luke aint one of them, in fact Michu fed off luke better than any other player this season,he may lack a killer instinct so to speak but given the game time he had he couldn't have done much different (the temptation to type"he couldn't have done much Moore "was resisted!) :)

He has a great first touch and holds it up well bringing other players into the game,in fact in a lot of his sub appearences he changed the game when he came on,something that cant be said for many other Swans who were fringe players!!

The reason why he was passed over for Shector was at times mystifying and may well have knocked him a bit, judging by the celebrations when he did hit the net its clear to see he has massive respect from his teamtes including the likes of Michu who seemed to really enjoy playing with him.

I hope we keep him here as I think European football will suit the more intelligent footballers like Luke Moore and Wayne Routledge <ok>

Surprised Moore is getting a bashing here. I recall several posters asking for him to have an opportunity to play instead of Shechter during the second half of the season.

I don't think anyone disagrees with the fact that Moore is better than Schecter. Moore would be fine as a squad player but we still need two quality strikers ahead of him in the pecking order, assuming Michu stays in midfield.
Or we buy 2 and let Moore go, Michu used as our third striker option instead of Moore. That just sounds like a stronger squad to me.

Moore can be a good player but only in flashes. If he worked harder and finished better he could have been a very good player.

I think it's a bit harsh to rate it : B! Except for loosing Taylor to injury nothing could have gone better this season. Far above expectations, first silverware ever in a centennial season. Only real whipping was loosing 0 - 5 on Anfield a week before a top-5 match in the history of the Club. OMG if you can't rate that an A+++ season what do you expect - winning the treble???

Michu as best player? He did sfa second half of the season (all though I will agree he was played out of position on a regular basis). when teams figured him out and the stats will agree with me
