First off.. zero shots on target in a Derby That great team United, the one the media have been ****ing over since they beat City in the Carling Cup? Well... they are now 2nd in the league having been 8 points clear only 3 weeks ago . Out of the CL in the group stage containing a group of the mighty FC Basel and Otelul Galati, not to mention Benfica who terrible Chelsea beat home and away in the knock outs. Not only do they get knocked out of the CL also knocked out of the Europa by a team 7th in La Liga. ...Out of the FA Cup in the 4th round ... Beaten at home in the Carling Cup by a Championship placed 17th. A team who had only won 6 times away from home in their division. So yeah, we might lose the FA Cup Final and the Champions League Final but nothing was expected of us, because the media have been saying our players aren't good enough and too old for nigh on 6 months now and even calling us a crisis club (along with Arsenal - who also have done better than United in all competitions)
Spot on District, I said at the start of the year United had a declining team and are in bigger trouble than we were but no one listened. They are there because Arsenal and Chelsea have stunk the place out. They will struggle to get U-Ropey Cup football next season.
Like all things in life, nothing lasts forever. Despite a stellar career, Old red nose looks past it to me. He's bought some ordinary players, and like Chelsea, hasn't addressed his main deficiency, a creative midfielder, and now has to rely on his old guard, Scholes and Giggs. Unlike Chelsea, at least the MU old guard has given their all, every game. His team now looks older and creakier than ours, the irony lost on all but Chelsea fans. Like politicians, it usually goes wrong when they've been there too long.
Good result for us. I was worried City might draw and then Newcastle could have taken them at St....Bet Direct. Not now I hope.
Very good for us, on top of our own great performances. Isn't it great to see even the so called second stringers putting themselves about. Boswinga has looked remarkably composed as central defender, Paulo as usual let no one down, Kalou gave one of the best passes seen at the Bridge this year for Torres to score, just great from everyone. Feeling much better now about our busy schedule, Robbie seems to get the team selections spot on, so I'll stop passing on my huge amount of wisdom and let him get on with it !!! Looking forward to Newcastle.
Ref's alone not enough, now they are crying out for Twatini and the FFP to come and protect them, you couldn't make it up!
Love the comment about Ferreira. Never complains, moans or puts the club into disrepute. Happy to play at LR, RB, CB, wherever and whenever he is given the chance. Been with us for 8 years and just gets on with it. Works tirelessly and gives it everything he's got. For some reason, I always worry when he play, but get proved wrong time, after time, after time...one day I'll learn.
