Castleford Tigers have agreed a deal to bring Salford City Reds' Rob Parker to the club in a one-month loan deal.

The Tigers made the move for the 30-year-old ex-Bradford Bulls and Warrington Wolves prop after they lost first-choice front rowers Craig Huby and Jonathan Walker for the rest of the season after they both suffered knee injuries.

Parker, out of contract at the end of the current campaign, will join up with his new team-mates for training tomorrow and could make his Tigers debut in next Wednesday's match against Wigan Warriors.

Parker is also eligible for Castleford's Carnegie Challenge Cup quarter-final against Huddersfield on July 24 as he did not feature for Salford in the competition this season.
