So Carlton Cole's deal to Stoke has blown up because Cole took offence to their chairman questioning his injury free past and Stoke not happy to give full disclosure on who is earnng what at the club... Cole has not asked for a transfer but I would be happy to keep Cole for the championship, the selling price is £4m + add ons. Big Sam likes to work with big strikers ... Kevin Davies,Jason Roberts.. No matter how much people will talk about the West Ham way of playing I can only see a battling hard to beat team for this year, which to be honest sounds good after the dire season all hammer fans have just witnessed. So if we kept Cole I think he could be our Andy Carrol that stormed and help Newcastle runaway with the championship 2 years ago.
he'd do well in ther championship, and scoring goals gives confidence, something Cole always seemed short of, but all players really want to play as high level as possible.
West Ham will have a dimond in Carlton Cole if he can get near his best at this level. The Championship is full of big clumbsy powerhouses, nippy little poachers, and technically gifted fat guys that are too slow and weak for the prem. Andy Caroll and Jay Bothroyd are great examples of big strong players who are quick, that also have a plenty of ability as well. I would put Cole in this bracket and wont be stunned if he scored a boat load. The Wham shouldnt be worried about if he can do it at this level, but making sure you can hang on to him.
Carlton Cole 5 match wonder! wont be any good against championship defenders not enough muscle! Bellamy a much better player than cole hardly scored last season for Baaaaardiff!
