If the reports are true (not that anyone believes reports as anything of real substance), Jose Enrique is off to Scouseland to join AC for about £10mil.

So basically AC, KN, and JE will have left NUFC for £50 million coming in the other direction.

What wud u do with that...?

Just imagine how much fun that could be to play with in the Transfer market.

You would imagine thats what we would actually be doing....no....?

And NUFC used to get criticised for spending too much money.

Is £50 million not enough to build on a team that finished mid-table to qualify for Europe...?

I'm pretty sure he's taking money to pay off the debts the club owes him. He has to get the money back sometime...it's just a shame he's deciding to sell off decent first team players to get it back <wah>

You do have a way with words.

Alas, it seems that Tourette's ruins your ability to express yourself or allow anyone to take anything you write on here seriously.

It's called a differing opinion Tash. I can accept your not happy and the reasoning's behind it but I don't resort to calling you or others a twat or a cock sucker because our opinions differ.

But we aren't getting rid of shoddy goods, we're getting rid of our top players.

Precisely. And it's not as though the additional fees and wages aren't there either.

Keep it for myself and pretend that I've used it all on wages.

While I agree with the sentiment that wages and expenses won't total £50m (at least that's what I think you're trying to say... hard to work out with all the profanities!) you can't say he's robbing us when he's taking what's owed to him from the club.

He's going to get his money back that he's pumped into the club one way or another, whether it's from selling the club and the new buyer paying off Ashley either straight away or over a period of time or it's from taking money out of player sales (effectively paying himself out of the clubs profits).... however he gets it it isn't robbing us it's just a shame from our perspective that he's chosen the latter.

Surely the plan would be to take money out of the profits made from the club, as basically he wiped out the debt with his loan. The club makes around £100m income being a Premier League club and has expenditure in and around the £70m mark.

Because you cant rely on players sales to get ur money back....because no other teams might not want our players. Lets be honest, we havent got many left.

I'd put £30m in Aspers, give my employees all a load of shares, maybe have a holiday, burn a huge chunk of it by Grey's Monument, whilst laughing hysterically and then scrat around the Championship for a few cheap or free (better) players.

I agree that would make more sense to take it out of the club's yearly operating profit, I don't think he's looking to pay off the whole loan to himself through player sales at all so of course most of it will come from the general profit of the club but if there's a sale of a player which gives rise to some instant cash available I think he'll see a proportion of that being "his" so to speak. I'm not saying I think it's the optimum strategy for a football club, that's just my opinion of what he's doing.

Knowing him, yes he probably is. Which is of course is wrong, ridiculous, disgraceful, and actually not very clever in the long term. A better team equals more income after all. They are basically small minded, short term sighted, useless ****s.
