I am starting to believe there may be some mileage in the Carroll story

Especially with PSG allaegedly on the verge of signing Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva for over 60m euros

People are even saying now we are in talks with Milan over selling Carroll

I feel sorry for Andy, but if we are to fully let Rodgers have a fair crack at it, we have to respect his decisions.

Milan better cough up or give us a few good players!

if milan get 60million euros then we should get what £2.50 or something the way its going? seriously though if milan take in a shedload we simply must get our 35mil back.

Yeah we need to reduce our losses so we don't look like total idiots.

Think £20m would be about right

  6. We all know that £35m for Carroll was crazy, we all questioned the lads ability to replace Torres, we all had doubts at one time or other about his quality/fitness and how he would fit into 'the Liverpool way'. We have all come to like the lad after the effort he has put in and the clear improvement in his performances. And, we all agree he is a good option to have at the club and will become a very good player in time. But...

How would people feel if someone offered us the equally crazy amount of money...?

I know Milan won't offer a penny over £1.57 and still expect change but surely a offer of £35m would have to be taken...?

Edit: I 100% think that these rumours are bollox and come 1 September, Andy will still be occupying the Liverpool number nine shirt <ok>

If we got offered 20+ then I would accept.

All this talk raises his profile and his valuation - conincidence ay?!

i'd rather keep him than sell him for 35£m
    What wage is he on?
He could still become a good player!

  11. If the reported £30m was indeed our starting budget and Rodgers wanted three or four players, which looks better:

    a) £30m for three or four players; or

    b) £65m for four or five players...?

Depends upon both the players and actually how good Rodgers actually is.

    so

    1) we all knew we should not have paid it and it cost comolli his job and prob kenny too.

    2) we have spent 18month dragging him back to fitness.

    3) we stand to lose 15mil according to some on here... a 22 year old english u21 would fetch 20mil...

all in all i think if he's to be sold the onus is on the club to get 30mil at least here.... hes not going to milan thats bollocks talk... no italians clubs have money....

If we got 35mil frankly i'd snatch their hand off cos he misses too many off his head... we saw him destroy terry in the cup final but then he goes and plays weakly v swansea... whats the real carroll? for 20mil i'd hold onto him frankly... its not enough to get two really good players in.

Of course Carroll can scupper all of these genius plans by saying .....

    "Don't want to"

This story is doing the rounds as well: Carroll coming back to have talks with BR about wanting to stay & prove he fits.....
