Not that I would want this to happen and I know the ship has sailed but as a Newcastle fan I thought that these two would have been perfect replacements for Drogba and Essien and you could have had both for the money you spent on Torres. Just looking for your thoughts on them and who do you think would do a better job at stepping into their shoes?
 
Tiote would be a great signing, he has been absolutely class for the Toon this season

My wife however would cut my balls off if we signed him, as she is a season ticket holder at Sid James' Park and gets very protective about this sort of thing<laugh>
 
Do we really think Essien needs replacing ? - I know he's not been at his best this term, & we didn't have him for a chunk of last year - but it seems a bit extreme.

What do we think he's not doing that he was before ?

I'd keep Essien and get Tiote in for Mikel.

Mikel to be fair has his good days and improves every season, but Tiote has more about him and both he and Essien can play holding or box to box
 
Oh my god !!!.......its a bit quiet on here today....where is everyone.....suppose everyones working eh !! To chear myself up ,after sunday,i watched the season review dvd from last season ,this morning...that got me smiling again.....
