http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...graham-carrs-newcastle-united-future-11077842 I really hope he does 'do one' to be honest. Charnley in his current and previous role and Carr have been the two constants in the board room over recent seasons. I think Carr has dined out on the Cabaye signing for far too long now. When we go down, and Rafa goes I really hope we take the opportunity to have a proper clearout in the boardroom too.
Our fixture list does give me some confidence about our chances but you're right Graham Carr has had some catastrophic big money signings to his name and really should leave the transfers to somebody more qualified.
If we stay up and Rafa stays on, then l would agree that Carr is a goner. If we drop down, then Rafa leaves and we are stuck with Carr, Penfold and some no name manager. Ashley has already said that his boys have spent all their pocket money and are getting no more. No TV revenue either. Parachute payments are small change in comparison. The biggest blow for me that relegation will bring ( and the list is very long) would be losing the best manager we have had in yonks and with him all that might have been.
I'm hopeful that when we do go down that Carr and Charnley are forcible removed from the premises. Having ****ed away £80+ mill and oversaw relegation I just don't see how they could survive.
You also have to presume that the 2% that have voted in the Chronicle poll about Carr having final say in transfer matters are mischief making mackems!!
Gotta hope we start recruiting in big European leagues now with rafa. When's the last time we bought a player from the Spanish first division? Colo?
