Carr sent to watch Maiga

What do we think? Do we still want him here?

I was hoping he would sign in the summer, but now I'm intrigued as to how Best and Ba manage. Plus, he's a bit of a knob.

 

I don't want,just don't think he is the right fit. Not got a great scoring record and thats in a league that isn't all that great. I think we should see the season through with what we have got and if we finish around 7th we could attract a much better striker than we could of this summer or can in January!!

 

With Ba and Best, i'd prefer a striker with some pace so you've got some variation. Papiss Cisse therefore, would do me fine.

I'll delude myself into thinking hes going to Sochaux to watch Marvin Martin. He must see something in this Maiga though i guess...

 

To be honest with Best and Ba in good form right now I think it would have to be someone pretty good to get in the team infront of them and i don't know whether he is

If Carr thinks he's good enough, and Pardew thinks he won't be a dick, then yeah I want him. I trust both of them in their jobs enough to just put this choice in their hands. Carr knows a quality find when he sees one and Pardew has proven he knows how to deal with assholes in the team.

noooooo no loan deals would rather trust Carr and sign someone permanent

 

remember when carr kept getting spotted at lille, it was assumed he was looking at gervinho or sow, which of course he was, but then out of nowhere came cabaye so who knows exactly which players he was watching

 

Carr was also supposedly watching French play maker marvin Martin in the same game. He's a decent player like but probably out of our price range.

I'll be honest if we get him I'll be underwhelmed, but will back him no matter what.

 

He'd be a terrible signing, I was saying this before the window closed and Ryan Taylor was our top scorer. He's gash, he's a **** and he's expensive. Unfortunately he scored so he might've made an impression.

 

Can we really fit another top midfielder like Marvin Martin (great name) in our squad though? I think it'd be a case of too much quality and unhappy players.

He'll have been watching Maiga, I've heard Carr is a big admirer.

Also, why do people assume he's slow? From what I've seen he looks to have a build more on a par with Sammy than Shola. I'd certainly rather see him play over Shola/Lover/Ranger.
Goalscoring record: 17 goals in 40 apps, often used as a winger.

 

Just not sure about Maiga as he's a little vapid on goals scored in his career. Now, who would be better?

Think your getting mixed up with Marin mate, the fella who plays for Werder Bremen. Now he is a player i'd love at the toon.
