The only ''hope'' was if Platini would stand. But when he announced a week or two ago he would't run that was it.

Blatter leaving wouldn't change anything straight away though, the entire organisation needs an overhaul and would take years and years to rectify the state that it's in. It would be a good start though!

Bit harsh, Ted. The last World Cup was an absolute joy, so he should receive some credit.

Having said that, it would be best all round if he were to go missing off the back of some yacht...

Platini has now broken ranks with FIFA, who want to keep Garcia's report secret. I wonder why? Blatter reminds me of J. Edgar Hoover, who was head of FBI for 41 year. No president dared sack him because he knew too much about them, and he died in office. FIFA's "Ethics Chief" says no decision will be made on the report until next spring. Why, what's going to happen then, I wonder?

I can exclusively reveal that when Sepp Blatter does eventually stand down aged 108, Jack Warner has asked me to manage his campaign to replace him <cheers>

The fact Blatter has said he is against the publication of the corruption investigation is laughable, and in my opinion clearly an admission of guilt from him or at least those closest to him.

That's my theory. Blatter knows exactly who has done what, that's why they won't vote against him. He's the Macavity of FIFA.

Difficult to imagine another business of comparable size that would commision a report and then attempt to bury it.It speaks volumes that Blatter will stand unoposed, not because he's popular, but no one of any stature would waste their time standing against him when he has already paid for most of the votes in advance. I'd love to see the Europeans and South Americans break away and form a Not FIFA, and leave Bladder to organise the 2028 World Cup in the Cayman Islands, near his bank.
Not gonna happen any time son though.

Not impossible the Europeans could do so if this goes on. Europe is where 90% of the money is. But you wouldn't want the South Americans. They are all hopelessly corrupt.
