Today at a barrier trial session in the Central Queensland coastal city of Rockhampton, 26 year old Carly suffered a serious fall. I don't know too much about the incident, but the young jockey stopped breathing and had to be revived by paramedics. She is in critical condition and will be flown to Brisbane once she is stabilised. Fingers crossed for the lady.

Talking of injured lady jockeys - I see Kirsty Milczarek has retired as a result of the neck injury she suffered last year. Brave ladies indeed - all the best to Carly for a speedy recovery and for Kirsty on whatever she decides to do next.
