Derby favourite Carlton House has drifted to 4.1/1 on Befair- at which price he has been joined for favouritism by the French horse, Pour Moi. Despite the Queen's horse's participation being dependent on a canter tomorrow morning, nevertheless this is quite a drift. Given that Mrs Magnier owns both Pour Moi and Recital, the continued support for the former must rate as very significant. If Carlton House does defect, then the current price above for Pour Moi will look very attractive- likewise Betfair's place only price of 11/10. Personally I have no strong fancy for the race , but we do know that Andre Fabre rates this as his best ever chance of Derby glory. What do other members think?
Hows it going guys? thought ad sign up to see hows it is here. Anyway if Carlton House doesn't line up, which i dont think he will my choice would most likely be Vadamar if the ground is genuinely good. Has form behind the joint fav from france, but that was over 2 furlongs short and Vadamar should be much much better over 12f. I think this will go to an outsider and once again after the race the form will be all over the place. Unless of course Carlton House wins, and in that case i think he will hold his form over his contempories.
Hardy....Glad your over here, it's getting more like the old 606 by the day! I think Carlton House will line up myself, the price is probably drifting because of incorrect roumers, it's like Chinese whipers. After the injury scare it was always likely to happen. Let's hope he does run as it willl ruin the spectacle of the race
May do Woolcombe, il have a look first, il post them on the daily thread if I find anything that apeals
All hinges on a canter this morning and then see how he is - hopefully he's 100% but if he isn't I hope they don't risk him! Sorry Shergar - some typos do raise a smile and I've just got visions of what a 'chinese whiper' actually is!
