According to talksport on a 4 year deal. Don't think it's on Sky Sports News yet. EDIT - Sorry guys I was told this very much 2nd hand and it sounds like Talksport have said no such thing but an Evening Standard bloke was just tweeted this: http://twitter.com/#!/StandardTim/status/89250637723865088 @StandardTim Tim Nichols Big Sam wants to bring in 8 players at West Ham but Carlton Cole on his way to Stoke. More detail in today's Standard #whufc #scfc http://twitter.com/#!/StandardTim/status/89274481171906562 @StandardTim Tim Nichols Carlton Cole will cost Stoke £4m, but deal could rise to £6m. Good bit of business by Pulis #whufc #scfc http://twitter.com/#!/StandardTim/status/89285306167214080 @StandardTim Tim Nichols @SCFCThePotters Cole's not travelling with the West Ham squad to Switzerland so expect deal to be done very soon. Good signing for Stoke
Personally I think TP could do a similar job on Cole as he did with Pennant. Under Zola Cole was a different player, needs an arm round him like Fuller but young and I think he has a lot of potential. Could do well in our system. Hope he signs. ...4 mill sounds like a great deal for us.
Talk Sport Sgt???????????????????????????????????????????? I would take Cole for that much to be honest. BUT, he ain't signed nothing yet! Will believe it, when he does sign.
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...er-carlton-cole-to-complete-6m-move-to-stoke? Stoke City have beaten QPR to win the £6 million race for West Ham striker Carlton Cole, Goal.com can reveal. The England international is due in Stoke on Friday to discuss personal terms after the Potters doubled their initial £3m bid plus add-ons, which had been swiftly rejected by the Hammers. The £6m offer matches the bid lodged by QPR boss Neil Warnock, who had hoped to convince Cole to move across London to Loftus Road. But Cole has rejected the chance to stay in London and will join Stoke, who turned their attentions to the 27-year-old after failing to agree personal terms with Birmingham forward Cameron Jerome. West Ham opted to cash in on Cole following their relegation to the Championship as new manager Sam Allardyce looks to cut the wage bill and balance the books. Fellow England internationals Rob Green and Scott Parker have also been linked with summer moves away from Upton Park but Allardyce has warned he will not let his best players leave on the cheap. Cole scored just five Premier League goals last season but netted a total of 42 times in 165 appearances for West Ham after signing from Chelsea in 2006.
A tweet from Homzy (TeamTalk Editor) about the Cole/Gibson situation http://twitter.com/#!/Homzy/status/89378823249985536 @Homzy Mark Holmes A fee for Carlton Cole has been agreed but I can't confirm whether Darron Gibson has also been in talks as speculated.
