the sort of arrogance.... which is why the public have such a poor opinion of footballers......

driving ban for 2 years, and a maximum club fine.

You have put the name of Ipswich Town into the press in a negative light, you deserve punishment from the club. Idiot

He is already banned so if the mitigating circumstances turn out to be rubbish then he should be put in prison.....

No excuse, What's wrong with getting a taxi? plus if it was that serious you would be calling an ambulance.

So then, what was his excuse for no MOT, Insurance and a valid driving licence before.

I was not trying to justify what he's done before, just saying if i needed to get someone to hospital where speed is paramount then i think i'd rather drive whilst banned unless this is the case i will have no sympathy and hope he gets a long sentence.

Hope this clarify's my stance on the issue.

I'm with hog on this one, I can't see how the club can justify keeping him. probably have to wait until court hearing for the legal side of things and then get rid.

wouldn't it be more sensible to wait for the ambulance? ambulance drivers are trained to drive at high speed through traffic safely and probably get to the hospital quicker...however, i would say that it is possible in a situation like this that common sense could go out of the window (mitigation)

Your probably right but i would not blame anyone that took it on themselves to get a loved one to help rather than waiting.
It will be interesting to see what the mitigating circumstances are in this case...
