    Carlos vela

Will this be his breakthrough season? It would appear that this year is make or break for the Mexican but the 1st two games of pre-season have bode well for him with 2 goals. Personally I'd love to see him and Miyachi make a big impression on the PL this year and I have a feeling wenger may afford him more chances.*

    What are the fans views?*

Velo first goal for pre season was a good finish, better than walcot and very composed, he seemed a natural striker. his second goal on pre season was a tap in.

Maybe he could be the 'little pea' for us this season

    No I doubt it.

He's a great finisher but unless he toughens up considerably I cant see him making it in England.

Also If Joan Campbell does join us I think Vela will fall further down the pecking order.

    Maybe I'm wrong though.

Vela should be starting more games than he has been and i would personally play him on the right of the front three and i agree with TheBear about Campbell if we get him as Manure Utd are after him now too

I though he would have progressed quicker than he has.

You've got to remember most players dont get to the top of their game until their mid 20's. We've been spoilt in the last few years with younger players coming through like Fabregas, Wilshere, Walcott, etc.

Vela has been impressive in quite a few appearances for Mexico so definitely has the skill. I think by the time he hits 25 he should be getting strong enough as well.

I think Vela has still got a lot to offer. To be fair, his chances have been fairly limited
