    Won the double in his first season in England and finished second this year.

    Although the 50m spent on Torres was a disgrace. Nonetheless , a pathetic decision and another reason why they will forever be in Man United's shadow : instability.

    To be fair to Ancelotti i heard he got forced into that by Abramovich as a trophy signing to show that he was still interested...

    I was also under the impression the Torres signing was down to Abramovich not Ancelotti, but too much interference by Abramovich is causing instability at Chelsea. Seems like Hudink is the only manager who didn't fall foul of the owner.

    Its daft that he's gone, but its been coming for months. The guy hasnt looked arsed for ages either. Much like his £50 Mill signing.

    Hopefully, Mourinho will come back though...the Premierleague needs a character like him. Especially now Ollie has gone

    Stupid decision. Some managers are just never given enough time. He had done a brilliant job, and could have led them to more success if he had stayed.

    Fans and owners are becoming more and more ridiculous. At one extreme Ancelotti gets sacked for failing to win a trophy in one season despite a double last time out and at the other a Wolves fan on "You're on Sky Sports" was calling for McCarthy to be sacked despite keeping Wolves up.

    Some reality checks are needed me thinks!

    i hate the way the chelsea fans think its the end of the world that they finished second? try being a fan of a team that's up and down, we finished 12 and think its fantastic, no matter what you spend finishing second is something to be proud of fair enough if they weren't challenging but they were... i think its a disgrace and ancelotti is a bettor off away from a club that has no realism.

    71 points, is shocking for Chelsea, they spent £73 million in one day, nuff said. Couldn't beat us when we down to the bearbones and they had Malouda, Essien and Drogba on the bench, not to mention losing 3-0 to Sunderland when Bent was injured.

    Abramovic is a nut job - he did the same thing to Mourinho... brought in the trophy striker, Shevchenko, and it hasn't worked.

    Blame the manager and off he goes. Oh well, Carlo has a nice pay day and that rich Russian ****er opens his wallet again.
