ko 3pm. i thought we had a thread for the carlisle game. if we have not, and i cannot find it, i have started one. carlisle 1 shrews 2 att 4333 veale morgan.
matsters excellent thread must have been lost in the cyber attack, which may prove to be stronger than shrew's attack
Atcham, At times this year any kind of attack has proved stronger than ours - hopefully Asante can add a bit of pace up front and strike up a partnership with the barnstorming Eaves - I think a 1-1 draw (Eaves the scorer) would be a creditable result for us.
Can't remember what I said......age and the t'interweb Let's try 2-2 in front of 4,101 fans with Eaves and Richards scoring ......just in from garden and didn't see time and didn't realise my previous prediction may not have been revised 'manually' please accept this even tho late......and probably inaccurate!!!
Another 2 points frittered away. Two poor penalties, Summerfield's for handball protested vehemently and a poor decision by Weale (probably his second crucial mistake of the season). In all honesty Carlisle were only going to score via the spot and only Manset looked a threat coming on late. Looks like a serious injury to Jones (dislocated shoulder?) but Goldson gave a good account of himself. Hurst is a good addition but caught out once resulting in a booking.Eaves and Morgan were poor today. The former's ball control and passing were shocking and we should have made more of good positions. Summerfield MOM but a very honourable mention for Mambo.
Didn't have a great deal to do but no worse than Morgan/Eaves on the day. Difficult to assess. Supposed to be blessed with pace to spare but we saw nothing of it.
i understand our marv had yet another poor game and eaves not much better. do we start mondays game with our marv warming his expansive bottom on the bench, or go for unchanged except unfortunate jones. 2 penalties donated and we were luvcky not to be down to 9 men? on b and a it was said town have thrown away 21 points when leading and have conceded 10 penalties. all in all another useful point and little by little town are getting there. 1 win and 2 draws should make us safe, 2 wins and 2 draws will.
Neither penalty was a sending off. Summerfield's (if it was handball at all) was accidental. McGovern was going well wide of goal when a whisp of wind blew him over.
