Logging in to the online ticket portal, I notice there's no option to reserve your usual seat (as a ST holder), indeed you can't even choose a seat, only a row and block!

I was offered a seat 4 seats from my usual one, but this seems a bit silly for those supporters and groups of supporters in open sections, as normally they have a period of time during which you can keep your usual seat?

I know it's not the FA Cup, but they did this for the Preston Carling Cup also. It's frustrating as with the amount of spare seats in the ground somebody is sitting in you'res even though there might be 8 empty seats around them all because the club didn't provide us the chance to reserve our own seats. I can only assume the majority of supporters at FA Cup games are ST's due to I'm guessing there wouldn't be 10,000 new take ups for these games

As I'm in the NU with my season-ticket I can't sit in my normal seat, but to be honest I prefer that, I find it nice having a few games a season where I can sit in the East, West or North Lower and appreciate the different views, though annoyingly I always end up with mouthy brats sitting in front, beside or behind me, or else 'know-it-alls' who clearly haven't been to the Valley for years.

Just reminded myself of that old thread 'why I hate plastics' <laugh>
