Hate to say it but I'd rather we got knocked out ASAP. I couldn't care less about cups (we had our fun in the JPT), it's not like we're going to win one, I'd much rather focus on the league so throwing more midweek games in there isn't going to help.
To be honest i'm exactly the same as you, never really get nervous or agitated when we play cup games, probably because i don't go much on them, much prefer league action.
A win is a win. The Carling Cup will provide an opportunity for some match time to players waiting in the wings.
The nice thing about cups is that losing doesn't hurt so much (unless you are in the late stages), so the games can often be more enjoyable.
I made a very similar thread to this not so long ago, never really took off though! I'd love a cup run keep up morale play some prem teams give more of our players a run out. Without sounding too cocky it doesn't look like we're going to struggle in this league and we don't have to get promoted this year so we could do well. And also the more times I get to watch or listen to Saints the better, couldn't care less about the circumstances or the competition just love seeing us play!
They've just mentioned that Leicester are playing the leaders Southampton on Saturday..how sweet that sounds.
