There might be some consolation, are the FA going to let them play in Europe if they win? Just like with the FA Cup a couple of years back, the European places are allocated to the country's FA who then choose who gets them (with UEFA approval). They chose to allocate one to the League Cup, but could say that as Cardiff aren't a member of the English FA they aren't going to put them forward and the place will go to the highest PL team not to be in Europe.
They are not going to win it is 1-1 now And Liverpool are gonna win and that with Liverpool being favourites for the FA cup, makes our match v Liverpool, winnable (I am in a positive mood following a talk with frome ranger on the other thread)
I thought it sounded like him too col. His name is Pete, and I think his from Burnley or somewhere similar.
If Cardiff win they are in the Europa League, if they lose the place will go to the 6th place in the PL...
I know that's the normal way, but did the FA say they'd let them have the place? Even if they won the FA Cup Final they weren't going to let them.
Yes, Cardiff may have choked (again) in the penalty shoot-out, but as a team they showed more grit, effort and determination, especially in defense, than we have demonstrated for a long time. Their keeper, Tom Heaton, played a great game and no doubt increased his net worth today. He would be a great acquisition for us and was impressed a couple of years back when we had him on loan.
