Draw for Carling Cup takes place on 16th June, the day before the league fixtures released. I suppose most of us don't care about this cup, since the League is the main thing, but on the other hand a win is a win and can get us on a roll. The 1st match will be in the first week of season like last year.
I enjoy all cup games, something different and always good to get a result on the night (unless replay). At least for the FA cup this time, we don't enter until 3rd round in Jan....but no more JPT, got our money's worth out of that
I reckon that our last 11 cup games have been at home (ignoring JPT semis and final) since we beat Northampton 3-2 in November 2008.
Would love Bradford away, never been to Valley Parade unfortunately. But the ground has alot of character and History. Long way for a Tuesday night mind you.
Im really hoping for bmouth away, we would have a proper cup allocation and I want revenge after getting "scummed" walking along bmouth beach last year
Just read a review written by a Bournemouth fan about his recent visit to SMS. Said lots of nice things about the ground etc, but added something along the lines..'not many people realise the extent of the rivalry between Bournemouth and Saints'. I certainly hadn't!
Hereford away would be ideal for me, not too far to travel. As for the FA cup, we will still get Man utd in the third round. We have taken Villa's role in that one
Hey shades..........welcome to the Saints board hope you enjoy the site. Any problems feel free to pm either myself or KingslandSFC. Don't forget to tell your mates don't matter who they support all are welcomed here........cheers enjoy
Swindon away so we can laugh at them. Blackpool at home so we can laugh at them. Reading away/home so we can laugh at them. I presume the big boys come in the next round?
I'm in West Hunsbury; are you based here too? I get to as many games as possible; though more away games this last season.
Yep in East Hunsbury!! Am a season ticket holder so go down most home games but evening games are sometimes a prob. Also looking forward to more away games this season as the Championship has a lot of teams around here as you know. usually like to go to Coventry, Derby, Leicester and Forest if I can.
