The Norwegian joined the Potters on loan from Aston Villa in January and scored his second goal for the club during their 3-0 FA Cup win over Brighton on Saturday. Stoke are on course for another comfortable Premier League finish and will now host either West Ham or Burnley in the FA Cup quarter-final. Carew kick-started a first-half rout against the Seagulls as Stoke killed the game with three goals before the break and the striker revealed his personal satisfaction. "Everything is going fantastically for me personally and for the football club," Carew told Stoke's official website. "To go out there and do such a professional job was hugely satisfying. 'At home' "I feel at home here, the supporters have been fantastic with me and all of the players, management and everyone else at the club have made me feel unbelievably welcome. "I was obviously very happy to get a goal, but for me it is about looking forward now and I just want to make sure that I keep doing well for the club and keep doing what the manager and the supporters expect of me." Carew reached Wembley on two occasions with Aston Villa last season, but suffered defeat in both the FA Cup semi-final and League Cup final, though he has high hopes for Stoke's chances this year. "The club is one game away from an appearance at Wembley and to get there would be a fantastic achievement," he said. "I got there twice with Aston Villa last season, so I would love to get there this year - that would be wonderful."
I should think Mr Carew does feel at home at SCFC he is the only bugga doing anything productive up front ! and scoring goals ... so why is our KJ not scoring these goals ? Answers on a postcard fellas .. But unfortunately we all know the answer dont we ! I dont want to keep kicking KJ down but i will be amazed if TP does not try to offload oiur biggest flop in yrs LOL Anybody remember Dave Bamber !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big John is scoring because he is making the effort to score. I think KJ is too knackered from lugging his bulging wallet around after he has drawn his wages !
