Obviously for a newly promoted team to cause Evertons first home defeat since november doesn't warrant a place in the team of the week for any of our players. Not even a mention?! Not shocked as we talk about the BBC. "Manchester City picked up their second win of the season with another impressive display of attacking football against Bolton. Title-rivals Chelsea edged past a dogged West Brom side and Arsenal's woes continued as they slumped to a home defeat against Liverpool. Newcastle fans got the bragging rights in the Tyne-Wear derby and promoted sides Norwich and Wigan picked up deserved points against Stoke and Wigan respectively." Hilario in goal are just that, hilarious Why no Kenny or Worm who both outperformed him. Heres the team for your amusement: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/9569732.stm
Garth Brookes - who???, the country and western singer???, ahhhh Garth Crooks.....never liked QPR. He liked Steve Archibald though!!!, broken-hearted when he left for Barca!!!. Garth Crooks = Steve Claridge, nuff said!!
The BBC are getting wise. You can't post comments on Gareth Brooks' page. He always has looked like the sort that would burst into tears if anyone said anything against him.
Garth Crooks never liked us. The guy looks like his head is about to explode with his eyes about to pop out. Always thinks he knows more than anyone else.
Just out of interest who from QPR do you think should be in team of the week? Sure we gave a solid backs-against-the-wall 2nd half performance but that's a long way from having the stand out players of the weekend. If anyone says Shaun Derry I'm going to scream!
I saw it and had to laugh but we are now in his playground ... how that f****r mays a living I know not ... I have never heard him make a valid point ever and at times he appears to doing the previous show ... He sits there on that settee like a little plump plum then suddenly comes out with something that has no point or substance whatsoever I am amazed he has a contract ... I know not if he has kids but the poor buggers must have to face one of his drama rants daily i would bet ... Eyes wide Frantic Arm Movement Eyes Look up Eyes Shut Eyes look down ..... I will finish my sentence with a dramatic stop and stare before putting my hands between my legs, squeeze hard while rocking gently until i can think of something else stupid to say
You know, I want to like Garth BCrooks I really do. Ive tried for years to look past his verbal goobeldigook, his apparent 'Claridgesque' lack of knowledge and the fact he shoots off at random tangents. However I must now concede that he looks and sounds like an escapee from the secure unit. Hilario????
Shaun Derry .................LOL just wanted to see if I could hear you scream down here!!! hahahaha - Didn´t Ali put in a decent shift??
Why not Derry? He played excellently. Faurlin was probably the man of the match for me but Derry, Gabbidon, Connolly and Smith all played very well I thought.
Is that some sort of sick joke? Derry was immense sats, breaking up play, protecting the back 4 and distributing wisely. Clearly got **** in your eyes if you couldn't see that. As for who else should be in? Well I'm sure there were top performers all around the Premier League, but I'm sure Faurlin, Gabbidon and Smith must've been close.
I didn't say Derry didn't have a good game but rating him the best defensive midfielder across 9 PL games is another thing entirely. I do think that the adulation that has been heaped on him on here after the first couple of games is somewhat misplaced. Both Derry and Faurlin are lacking in pace as we know and with the speed that PL games are played at it can go on around them unless they stay very deep as they did at Goodison. I'm sure NW is working on an acquisituion and/or tactics to counter this. I just think we need to keep things in perspective.
I'm sorry aaagh, but we put in a fantastic performance at Everton at a ground where they haven't lost in the Premier League since last november, beating the likes of Spurs, Chelshit and Man City on the way. There are obviously reasons that we got such a great result. Though clearly Garth Cocks is a spanner of the highest regard.
The whole team played very naively against Bolton. The structure of the side was much more compact on saturday with Derry marshalling the back four and Faurlin slightly ahead of him to feed the attacking midfielders. The pair of them broke up plenty of Everton's attacks and the vast majority of their better chances came from working it wide where Taarabt and Smith were slightly lacking in defensive discipline, although I think this is intentional to get them on the ball higher up the pitch. When Ephraim came on he did very well defensively too. Faurlin also started the move for the goal.
