my first match live seeing cardiff at the CCS this season... i think we'll find this game difficult as wolves have retained a few of the players who got them up in the first place....they still have doyle who is a handful for any defence and although they have lost their only players of any real quality they are a solid outfit who will be there or thereabouts at the tail end of the season... i predicted 2-0 to wolves. mainly because i dont want to predict wins all the time but also because i feel in recent weeks we've been a bit toothless up front. that could change with maynard coming in but we'll have to see. would be nice to see kyung playing, and whats the news about bellamy i've missed????
The official news regarding CB39 is he has a slight hamstring tear and will be back for the Leeds game. Rumours about retiring, family problems etc going around. Believe them, dont believe them...its your call. I'll go with what Malky says Looking forward to tomorrow as much to see who's selected/formation as the game itself.
Pick the Mrs up in Cardiff from Floria or go watch the city ? I'll be there, I'll be there, with my little pick and shovel I'll be there. Brother in law can pick her up.
Head-to-head • Cardiff have won 11, but lost 22 of their 46 league matches against Wolves spanning 90 years. • The 9-1 win in this corresponding fixture in September 1955 is Wolves' club record away win in their league history. • Wanderers need one goal to total 100 in league clashes with the Welsh club. Cardiff City • Eager to stretch their unbeaten home sequence of regular league games to eight. • But in danger of suffering their first back-to-back league defeats since 4 March, following a 4-2 away loss to Bristol City. • Kevin McNaughton is standing by to make his 250th start for Cardiff. Wolverhampton Wanderers • Recorded only two wins in 27 Championship and Premier League games. • Seeking a first away league win in nine attempts, subsequent to a 2-1 triumph over Queen's Park Rangers at Loftus Road on 4 February. • Conceded one goal in each of their three league outings. Think this will be tough. Wolves have spent a fair bit in the window and managed to keep some of their quality players. Kevin Doyle will be a threat. Wolves are also the best positioned in terms of their debt and management. No debt and Solbakken seems a bit untried at this level. A defeat at Leeds, a mauling of Barnsley (expected) and a draw home to Derby so not unbeatable. Same record as us.
Cardiff City could give a debut to new signing Nicky Maynard, who signed from West Ham United for a fee in the region of £2.5m on transfer deadline day. Craig Bellamy (calf) is out, while Ben Turner (foot) is also expected to miss a second successive game. Wolves are still without skipper Karl Henry (hamstring) but should have Dorus De Vries and Dave Edwards available again after illness. Kevin Foley is back in training but has missed several weeks with injury.
about to leave, i think this is what we'll play with maynard being subbed about 60 mins... please log in to view this image
Sounded impressive according to Sky Sports News. Their reporter was drooling over Noone's performance.
