It all started brightly this season, then the injuries started to mount and the wheels have come off big time. Surly we can't do as badly as my last match day thread with a thumping against Plymouth. Cardiff are a fill 10 places better off than Norwich and hover just outside the playoffs in 7th place. Norwich are more likely to be looking over their shoulder the other way as the Canaries languish in 17th and have been dropping like a stone in recent weeks. Norwich Add Adam Foreshaw and Shane Duffy to the unavailable list for the game, does this mean that Danny Batth finally gets a game in yellow? Cardiff DWWLD Norwich LLLLD Cardiff have only lost one at home all season and won five of their seven games, whereas Norwich have only managed one away win all season and only picked up five points away from home. Hope springs eternal, but seeing as in the last game Blackburn cut Norwich apart like a hot knife through butter I can't say I am very confident in a result for the canaries.
I for one don't care what the score is I just want Wagner & Webber gone & look forward to the chair shuffling on the HMS Canary as it takes in water
Cardiff seem to have made their stadium a bit of a fortress so far winning or drawing their league matches (save for QPR, August). Therefore I expect along came Norwich, to grab a win
Wagner didn't seem like a man who's job was at risk during the press conference yesterday. Although he did say he has had votes (phone calls) of confidence form Delia, Michael, Zoe and even Ben Knapper.
With Duffy unavailable lets hope Batth can step up alongside Warner, they are going to make a late call on Hanley as ideally it would be best for him to play in the u21s but we may need him on the bench.
Why would he, given Ben Knapper had already said there was currently no plan to replace him (as reported several days ago in the EDP)? There are 93 points still to play for. With Hanley back in, we'll likely go unbeaten the rest of the season ............
Afternoon Canaries, just popping over to wish safe travels to your travelling hordes (you normally turn up at our place in fine numbers) Not quite sure what is going on with your team, definitely not hitting the heights I think many of us expected, but still a long way to go yet. In case any of you are that way inclined we have our match day thread here https://www.not606.com/forums/cardiff-city.36/?prefix_id=2 We more than welcome visitors As I say, safe travels down and back, hope you have a good day out but a miserable 90+ minutes during the game.
All credit to Cardiff for their efforts so far this season. Having had a few pretty bad seasons, and languishing at the bottom end of the league, they are starting to turn some heads as they look good for challenging the playoff spots this time around. Given that turn-around, and our lousy form - I don't see any other outcome than a fairly convincing home win with Norwich shipping another 2 or 3 goals (maybe more )
Handley may return Gibson & Duffy suspenjured Batth may feature , Barnes on the way back too , Gunny & Sarge not ready yet
Does anybody think we could get at least a draw against Cardiff, or has the rot well and truly set in?
