    Just wanted to say massive respect to all players and supporters who turned up for the Mikey Dye Memorial Game at Bryntirion FC.
    I've no idea about exact figures but I'd guess at easily 3-400+ there today. I got totally drenched but well worth it. A good game and some great banter from both sides.
    Although the score is irrelevant (4-2 CCFC :)), it was good to see Mickey's son score and only fitting he lifted trophy at the end. I've already seen it dubbed the Mickey Dye Cup so whether this becomes an annual event remains to be seen but it just proves that all the Cardiff v Swansea crap can be put to one side when it really matters.

    Once again, well done to everyone who was there today <applause>

    <ok>

    Gutted I missed it (My nephew plays for bryntirion, so we all had planned to go) , but had to look after my U10's and U12's (girls football) matches which overran and didn't get back in time.
    Glad it all went well, and would also encorage support for this to be annual event.

    Glad it went off OK, but as usual it's only the decent fans that turn up for stuff like this, so there was never going to be anything beyond banter, not trying to be a wet blanket as it's definitely a step in the right direction, but I hope the half heads on both sides can look at this and perhaps realise that they don't HAVE to try and murder one another, a sad reflection on society but I can't see that happening in the near future. One thing for sure it won't happen at all unless the clubs and the decent fans do things like this to build bridges <ok>
