Anyone remember it? I remember spending most of the first half dodging bottles of piss that the lot in the right hand corner were throwing at us. In the boozer on the edge of the high street early doors that day. Game Millwall firm, so were you. About 1000 wall, all chaps, good show by us, kicking off at 9 in the morning, but Cardiff were massive that day, remember someone saying "everyone in wales and the valleys were out that day"! Remember everyone covered in anti-climbing paint! I remember the buzz you used to get going to Ninian park. Shame whats happened to Cardiff these days as like a lot of 'Wall fans back then ,held you in very high regards. This used to be week in week out when all you got them days was a slap round the ear from the coppers and sent on your way (did it really do any harm?) your ground must be one of the safest in the UK now. Coached straight in, straight out, if you come by train the old bill are on top of it. The only way it will kick off is if the oppo team make an effort and go into town. Geezer! Times have changed for our clubs fella. Move with the times or die as a football club. Our ground is the same as your gaff these days, a nice day out for the family.
I asked going my dad about Millwall in the old days and to be fair i know nothing about them as only 22 , just another lower league small team to me going nowhere , he said Cardiff and a few others had a name so they tried to sort things out when they meet as not much police and techno about in those days ...............seems Cardiff were top dogs and earned a reputation of the crew that stuck together no matter how many of the opposing fans were against them ...............he only go`s now and then now and still meets his old buddies from the late 70`s all the way thro till now .
Geezer, I do not think glorifying violence is particularly clever and as for the "old boys" not changing, well I make no apologies but some folk need to grow up.
Well said Taff as usual. Banter and humorous, intelligent chants are top stuff- but when I see people getting physically hurt, kids getting caught up in it- it just makes me a bit sick really. Guess there will always be thick ****s out there, but some need to grow up.
Taff, rather than censor me why not the post which is gloryfying football violence. Seems to me an awful lot of Cardiff fans relish their reputation.
Interestingly, Cardiff had the most banning orders in the football league last year according to the BBC. Seems little has changed there.
The post is staying to show others there are morons out there. Your comments add nothing to any sort of debate on the subject. The fact you are just trying to goad speaks volumes and your lack of sensible comment is to be expected given your posts.
Wrong again. There was 1 banning order last year, the rest were older that were still in force. Our ground was voted best for familys 2 seasons running. Still shouldn't let lies get in the way of a good wum eh?
