As posted on Twitter by Stringer

    Schmeichel

    St Ledger
    Morgan
    Keane
    Schlupp

    Wellens
    Drinkwater
    King

    Dyer
    Wood
    Nugent

Subs: Logan, Whitbread, Marshall, Knockaert, Waghorn, Vardy, Kane

I can only think Nugent will play wide in a 4-5-1/4-3-3. Pearson obviously packing the midfield - I imagine we'll see a lot of Cardiff possession and us trying to hit them on the counter. Thoughts?

EDIT: Sorry, I realise that's 3 threads tonight's team has appeared in now. Should've looked before posting...

According to Craig Shakespeare, Dyer will be playing up top with Wood and Nugent with a 3 man midfield

I think Wellens will have the holding role, Drinkwater the box to box role and King the man to link up with the strikers. We did very well with this system a few years ago with King, Wellens and Yuki Abe

It's definitely a strange one. Worryingly, "square pegs in round holes" comes to mind. We saw it with Hollowhead the season we went down, and on occasions, with Sven, as he tried to cram in all 9 CMs we had on the books into one formation... what with playing Kane on the wing, and now this, it's beginning to drag up memories of unhappier times...

Still, might be a tactical masterstroke. Only time will tell.

    Bloody hell.

What was wrong with the side we went on a 5 game winning streak with in Jan?

4-4-2. Everyone in their right position.

Nugent is totally wasted on the wing and Wood looks uncomfortable on his own.

It's an instant worry on that right flank.

    Nuge RM and Ledge RB.

So a 4-5-1 then? With Dyer and Nuge on the wings, Wood up top on his own?

That team gives me even less hope than I have already. Haven't conceded yet though! Just want to get this game over with to be honest, I realise how pessimistic that sounds.

    Anyone listening to neutral commentary...

How is the referee sounding? Because he's having a mare according to Radio Leicester.
