https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-guernsey-46954922 Sad news. It reminds of of when we signed Dean Horrix from Millwall a good few years ago now, and he died in a car crash on the M4 on his way to join the club after signing.
Posted my prayers on the Cardiff forum. Clutching at tiny straws I know, but until they are confirmed dead they might still be alive.
I haven't been on their forum but it's a tragic, terrible thing, my thoughts are with his family, friends and fellow players, also a terrible upset for Cardiff and all of their fans, although the news is grim I also hope a miracle happens.
Whilst unlikely after so long , I too hope this tragic accident has a happy ending, I too have added a note of sympathy on their forum. At such times club loyalty goes out of the window, at the end of the day we are all football fans and human beings.
It's so sad, some of the quotes coming out today as well seem to show that the plane was absolutely not fit for purpose. There's a text doing the rounds where he's saying that he's scared while onboard.
A very sad loss of a young man just trying to fulfill his footballing dreams and it makes us think about the more important aspects of our lives. My thoughts go out to all his family and friends who have lost a loved one at this extremely difficult time.
I saw what he said on OTIB really sad to read those words that he was generally scared for his life on that plane.
I read that too - but there have been conflicting stories about who arranged the flight; I read at first that the aircraft was owned by Cardiff City, but later I read elsewhere that Sala had chartered the plane himself privately. I’m sure it will all become clear eventually, but right now they just need to find them. It’s sadly so unlikely now that they have survived after this length of time - still, no news is good news as they say....
