Apparently we are lying in fourth spot in the Premier League so far. Mind you, that's on transfer spending this summer. Who are the three above us?
Got to be Spurs up there. Wasn't it £26M for Soldado and about £17M for Paulinho? EDIT - just remebered they got Capoue as well for around £9M
Fair to say we needed to spend more than others to improve what was a Championship squad. The existing Prem clubs have had the time to build and have evolved. We've outspent the other promoted clubs Hull and Palace by a huge factor. Can't say that our owner hasn't committed himself to staying in this division. I don't think the spending table will be the same come 2nd September - some of the big guns have yet to fire - but I also don't think Malky and Vince have finished yet either.
Yup Gendros - if we were (except Mabbs) talking about table positions in this thread, but we're not. Still, if we are talking about table positions, we're at the bottom in very good company at the moment - we were away and our fellow bottom club were home.
Not touchy at all Gendros - just responding to your out of context comment. I feel a lot of love coming on for Moyes over here in the next couple of hours, but maybe that's just silly rivalry eh?
I wonder if you'll feel the same warm glow after you play them .. No disgrace losing to a better team , what counts is the amount of better teams above you at the end I suppose .
