I'm not sure if our attendances are ever going to recover. I thought we these ticket offers we'd be touching 18k. Maybe people just got out the habit of going because of Allams and lockdown.
The deal still misses out on a lot of fans as you've got to know a member to get the £2 tickets. Not Acun's fault as the pricing for the season is already in place but hopefully attractive season ticket prices will have a much bigger impact on getting fans back along with a decent summer window
Due to the behaviour of some dickheads, it seems there'll be no tickets available in the North Stand for this one.
Who were they in the north stand on Saturday? Pass holders or newbies? seemd like all young lads so did they all request to be in there? Chucking bottles onto the lads in the lower bit was a ****s trick
The section nearest the segregation was pretty much entirely populated by 15 year olds. With a not an overly exciting game and the away fans moved to the far side of the north stand there wasn't enough to keep them entertained apparently so they just started lobbing bottles at each other. Fortunately I don't think the away fans had a clue what was going on, but they got a dressing down from the east stand. It capped what was a very disapointing day.
Big groups of young lads who one of my pals in E2 said it was obvious they’d never been to football before
Probably thinking they’d be next to the away end but then when they saw they weren’t they lost interest because it seems they weren’t there for football instead to watch the away end giving it the biggun. Heard something about them chucking bottles at E1 not sure if it’s true mind.
Erm isn't that the whole point of the cheaper tickets to attract new fans, one of the reasons we have had a **** atmosphere in the staduim since the move from BP is the lack of young lads watching city that would traditionally congregate on "kop" ends. The more youngsters turning up trying to create a bit of amosphere the better, it's clear by now the older aging support among us aren't up to the job, as i mentioned in a prevuios post, so what if there's a little shenanigans from time to time, some of you have clearly become to sanitised !
I’m not from that generation but this pre sanitised era you’re talking of didn’t involve throwing bottles at your own fans did it? Aim it at the away fans or opposition players or keep it on your hands is my view on it
I don't think from their point of view they were throwing bottles at anyone else. I don't think they were trying to be aggressive or violent in any sense. It was a big group of kids throwing them about between themselves. Obviously in reality it will have bothered other people and could have hurt someone, so I'm not defending it, they just needed telling. To be honest I thought the stewarding and policing of it was pathetic. Never saw anyone go and have a word with them. They didn't seem to realise that what they were doing could get you a banning order if it was interpreted differently, and no one in authority challenged it. Preventing ticket sales in North obviously isn't the answer. It's really pathetic that this is now the go-to action any time someone misbehaves at football.
Spot on if that section was open all season they wouldn’t be grouped together and could occasionally get a clip round the ear from the regulars. Was a big group of them smashing up the seats at Sheff UTD away but they soon stopped when people told them to and we just carried on watching the game.
