OK not here to take the piss,

Seen my club in the deep smelly stuff, and it's not pleasant I hope you come through OK

We appear to have our problems sorted (fingers crossed <ok>) but when we were struggling financially, we got raped financially and had to sell decent players cheaply, it appears we are doing the same to you, not nice, but the morality went out of football a long time ago.

It looks like we have got Mason cheap, is he any good?

Yes, he is an up-and-coming one for the future but already looks promising.

    Thanks for the comments. <ok>

I wouldn't count on Joe moving yet. My feelings are it's the Administrator that wants him to move not Joe, just like it was with his proposed move to Swindon last season. I think he'll be one for the future but we know from the overall standard of his performances last season he would struggle to get more than a place on the bench with the expected strikers available to Cardiff this coming season.

I would be surprised if he stayed, more opportunities for him to grow.............If he did stay it would be to get more first team football, which would be difficult at Cardiff.

I think that with the right team service and support he could be a top quality player, however, i can't see him playing in the starting 11 at that level, maybe a purchase to increase the squad numbers?

Another one bites the bust eh? Born in England, plays for N Ireland and now at a Welsh club, seems anyone can play anywhere these days. Can't say I blame him for going, at least he will be paid. Good luck to him.

A pity to see him go. Don't think he is a top prospect but a bit confused as his wages can't be that high and it is not a huge fee. Smells of more financial insecurity to me. Clarity from the new owners needed I fear. To replace him with a player on similar wages and free agent means we are only 250000 to the good. That won't last long. Wonder if he went with reidy's blessing where he thinks he can do better. We have to trust his judgement. Some clarity and statement would be good

Was Mason not one of two [the other being Nelson] who had been paid in full to prevent them absconding?

Perhaps it wasn't possible to maintain that until sponsorship & season ticket monies come in.

He did turn down a move to Swindon but with all due respect, Cardiff, who are likely to challenge for the PL again, are a rather better prospect - if he gets a game.

It just goes to show how crazy football is at present. He's a good prospect, as Reid said, but hardly the finished article or a proven success. Just about any kid with English credentials who's kicked a ball once anywhere in the league is a hot property. Madness.

We just now have to wait and see who tries for Nelson - hopefully a bid war will ensue and we can get a decent price.

Good prospect but a way off the finished article, 250K seems about right with a loan back for next season as I think he will struggle to make the bench at Cardiff. Good luck to him though.

Look at the financial facts first before condemning anyone at the club. We have 3 players in Fletcher, Walton and Johnson who between them must be on the best part of £2m between them for a year. Take the amount of season ticket sales we will possibly get at around 4500. Lets say that on average given youngsters, oldsters and family section tickets it works out to about £250 per person. That totals in income £1.125m. Lets also say we have around 1500 pay on the day times 23 matches. 1500 x £18 x 23 = £621k. The sum total of income from ticket sales is less than the annual salary of the 3 players. That means there will have to be one hell of a lot of shirt sales, pasty sales, sponsorship etc to pay the other 17 professionals and backroom staff including manager and coaches. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but £250k is a large percentage of the shortfall and not to be sneezed at. Is it therefore any wonder that they will sell anything that commands a fee and the probability that anyone else coming in is bound to be cheaper to pay also.

And your alternative would be????? And you would get money from where?????? WOO WOOO NEEE NAAAH outbreak of "I am a no brain thick twat " alert. Come on, instead of just being a complete twat all of your life give us the benefit of the DS plan to get out of this situation and not just "I'd stay home if I were you". I asked you this before when you posted one of your considerably thick posts but as usual when asked something to put a bit of bones on your statements you just dry up. So your chicken egg, egg chicken theory is ?????????? Simple answer is "I don't have one so I will just feck off and shut up". Unlesss...................................
