“Ain’t no peace in this there farmyard, since my ...... ... ........ been gone!” My beloved GM missing from my thread, now plying his trade with the men in tangerine. I know I speak on behalf of this forum in wishing the guy every success in his new career....and that his finances are not too affected in this move! Not another draw please, no Zohore glory goal....maybe a 1-0 win! Danny Ward (concussion) and Lee Peltier (dead leg) are both in line to return for Cardiff City. But boss Neil Harris, who made seven changes for the FA Cup tie at Reading, could be without Joe Ralls after he went off injured against the Royals. Defender Semi Ajayi is serving a one-match ban for Championship leaders West Bromwich Albion. Matheus Pereira is also out through suspension, while Grady Diangana and Kieran Gibbs are both injured. After their run of just one win in seven league games, pacesetters Albion start the night a point clear of second-placed Leeds (who have an identical goal difference), but now just four points clear of third-placed Fulham. Cardiff, in 13th, are seven points adrift of the play-off places, having drawn five of their last seven matches. Match facts Cardiff City's last home league match against West Bromwich was a 1-0 Premier League victory in December 2013 - just hours before the sacking of then Baggies boss Steve Clarke. Albion, who beat Cardiff 4-2 at The Hawthorns in October, last completed a league double over the Bluebirds back in the 1974-75 season. Cardiff have only been defeated once at home in the league this season - the fewest home defeats of any Championship side. Albion have earned just four points from their last six matches, Only Luton (1) have picked up fewer in that time. Lee Tomlin has been directly involved in 11 goals (5 goals and 6 assists) in 19 Championship matches this season. In 19 League One matches on loan with Peterborough last season he was involved in just three (two goals and one assist). Albion are conceding 0.79 goals per game away from home in the Championship this season, compared to 1.43 per game at The Hawthorns.
Who is mayembe? Cardiff City XI: Smithies; Richards, Morrison, Nelson, Bennett; Vaulks, Pack; Whyte, Paterson, Hoilett; Glatzel Subs: Etheridge, Flint, Bamba, Bacuna, Tomlin, Murphy, Mayembe
Forgot how quiet it is on here for home games. Gets lonely. They are battering us possession wise, but we've had more attempts, 4, 2 on target to their 3 and 0.
Irish answered that one for me on the prediction thread, one of our young uns apparently. Game lacking quality at the moment but good to see us holding our own against the leaders...
Wow.... how much effort was Patsy putting in at the end there? Not sure we have many more on the books like him that would battle that hard on 94 minutes! Another battling win... fortress CCS strikes again.
Full appreciation post for the world class save Smithies pulled out of the bag in 92nd minute to stop Zohore ruining the day
Trigger Pack - is it just me or does he get worse every game? Also poor performances from Jazz, Hoilett and Glatzel Gold stars to Smithies, Morrison, Nelson, Vaulks, Whyte, Pato and, of course, Tomlin. I haven't seen a TV replay of Smithies' save from Ken but live it looked tremendous. That and Tomlin's goal the obvious highlights.
