I'll only been to Blackpool once, don't know why never liked the town or the football team.

Maybe that's why I've been to Preston about 5 times.

50 weeks of lockdown answer nobody

 

I hitch hiked home from Blackpool after missing the supporters bus home. I can't remember if it was after the game at Preston in 1973 or the game at Blackpool in 1974. The bus was due to leave at midnight and I swear I was back in time, but five City fans including me missed it. The worst part was explaining it to my mother when I eventually got home!

 

Right then. A real tough test this afternoon against a side that's very comfortable playing away this season.

So, once again, get 'em fired up Mick. No complacency after our recent resultgs.

Expect them to sit on the point they start with and hope to get something at the death. We seem to get better results when the opposition has more of the ball so hope we don't fall into the trap by overplaying this one.

Having said that, if we can get an early goal then they'll have to come out to get anything from the game leaving themselves exposed to the counter.

If they get an early goal then it could be a long hard afternoon.
