After the last two games, are we now considered favourites to win our 12th home game of the season? After all we were successful at theirs earlier this season with a convincing 2-0 scoreline. We usually do well against them, but the law of averages suggest a home draw is on the cards. Would that be a body blow, such that would spoil the feeling of Christmas?

I dont think a draw would be a body blow Red. How many of us honestly expected 9 pts from this and the last two before the Lesta game? Having said that, now we've got 6 there's no reason why we cant get another 3... Malkys buzz word is momentum :D

We had enough draws last year to last a life time, another win IMO

I see Ipswich are trying to sign Danny Higginbotham on a permanent deal. Reminds me of names of players from up t' north years ago names like Wagstaff, Leadbitter, Leadbelly, Howlingwolf, Hogg, Goodlass and such like. Ooh, It takes me back though!

Wood has signed for the Foxes, can't imagine he'll improve their strike force much, they've already got Nugent and Vardy. Don't think he's playing for Millwall tomorrow?

So Keogh and Henderson to deal with. Huds and Turner will be more than up for that. :)

900th defeat it is then. Just been on the Milwall page, just to show respect to our gallant adversaries only to find one MilwallSteve, suggesting that we have arrangements with sheep....how maaaaar he!

    Team News

Cardiff defender Matthew Connolly returns from suspension and is back in contention for the visit of Millwall.
Meanwhile, midfielder Aron Gunnarsson will be hoping to start after coming off the bench to score the winner in their 2-1 win against Crystal Palace.
Defender Adam Smith is available for Millwall after the club successfully appealed against the red card he received against Barnsley.
Striker Andy Keogh (broken toe) is fit again and could be back in contention.

    MATCH FACTS

    Head-to-head

    • Cardiff edged into the lead in the head-to-head count with Millwall when second-half goals from Pete Whittingham and Craig Noone gave them a 2-0 victory at the Den in September, and an 18-17 lead after 55 league meetings.
    • Millwall have picked up a point in seven of their last 10 league clashes with the Bluebirds, but have not managed to put a goal past them in the last three.
    • It's 30 years since the Welsh club last did the double over their London-based opponents.

    Cardiff City

    • Sitting proudly at the top of the table with 50 points and a five-point cushion over second-placed Hull, Cardiff know they will end 2012 as Championship leaders, and the club in that position at the end of a calendar year has gone on to win promotion to the Premier League in each of the last seven seasons, since Ipswich failed to do so in 2004/05.
    • The Bluebirds are eight points up on the same stage last season, and are bidding to add to their unrivalled 16 Championship wins and 46 goals.
    • Whittingham is poised to make his 250th league appearance in Cardiff colours

    Millwall

    • The Boxing Day loss to Barnsley was only Millwall's second defeat in 17 matches, and leaves them outside the play-off positions on goal difference.
    • Should Kenny Jackett's men fail to gain a point at the Cardiff City Stadium they will tumble to their 900th away defeat in league football.
    • The Lions lost 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace on New Years' Eve 2012; it was the first time they had ended the calendar year with a loss since 2003.

Magnificent hard earned six pointer for the third game running, and a clean sheet to boot! Apart from more goals and results elsewhere going our way, who could ask for more?
Getstede got a vial goal in his first start this season to put the pressure on HH. Not sure if I didn't get a correct score as well...yes sireeeeeee!

No, predicted a draw apparently, changed my mind at the last minute....Fergie time I guess!

Was more nervous with a 1 goal lead today than I was against Palace on Saturday.

Watford ahead at Brighton, could do with an equaliser here. Mackail-Smith would be a good acquisition for us, powerful all action player, probably demand too much would Brighton....possibly £100.000!

    Brighton just scored penalty...
