Damn right. I don't know why people were getting so worried Bonus = correct score for me in prediction league.
As Cameron said to Osborne famously “We’re all in this thing together!”, he was lying! We are defo in this together....bit annoyed as I was onto two prediction points, not sure whether to laugh or poop my panties! Any wipes anyone?
Anyway, back to today's game. In my eyes a definite improvement and in a game in which a win was everything, we just about got there. One hell of a scrap. Let's hope it's the catalyst for a climb to safety.
And he got the crowd going with a good press and block before winning that corner. The lad did very well.
So, what did we learn? The defence still lacks organisation. While McGuinness fluffed his back pass, Nelson, as the senior player should have communicated better and taken control. T'Udders were always a threat on the break and if Danny Ward had scored, not hit the post, we were dead and buried. Ng gets forward well but can't cross to save his life. Can Giles give him lessons? Ralls was much more effective in midfield and tried to push forward at every opportunity. Bacuna, in midfield, had a better game. Pity about the pineapple on his head. For 80% of the game Moore was the centre forward I feared we had signed. He gave the ball away easily, couldn't find his own players with headed passes and was always in the wrong place in front of goal. However, give him the ball in the right place and he will do the business. 2 excellent headed goals and what a cameo from Davies. One way or another he was involved in both goals and had a superb assist for Moore's second. The team's fighting spirit was encouraging and in one way the 2 week break is not good for us. Conversely if we can appoint the new manager quickly he will have a bit of time to organise and brief the team on what he wants. A very welcome 3 points, I didn't think we would get.
