1pm kick off...wonder if anyone forgets? :steam: <wah> <whistle> <laugh>. <ok>

Right, let's get in the mood:
Let's just pick a previous game at random...first one I get my hands on...any game...right:

Bristol City 0 Cardiff City 6
(okay, that'll do for starters, not the one I would've chosen normally)!

Cardiff City produced an astonishing display to brush aside fellow play-off hopefuls Bristol City and move into fourth in the Championship table.
Peter Whittingham followed up a Dean Gerken save to slot home the first.
Ross McCormack made it 2-0 from close range and Michael Chopra drilled in the third from the edge of the area.
Liam Fontaine scored an own goal before Chopra and McCormack added fine finishes from outside the box to pile the misery on the Robins.
The defeat, which featured three goals in five first-half minutes and a plentiful supply of hapless defending, will heap pressure on City manager Gary Johnson.
The Robins have now won just twice in 12 league games and have slipped six points behind the play-off places.
It was the third meeting between these sides in the space of a fortnight, after Cardiff knocked the Robins out of the FA Cup in a fourth-round replay.
And the hosts were protecting a proud record of nine wins and five draws in their past 14 home matches against Cardiff.

Although Johnson included new loan signing Patrick Agyemang, the striker could not have endured a more miserable debut as Cardiff ran riot.
Whittingham had already gone close before he opened the scoring after 19 minutes.
Joe Ledley's pass sent Chopra clear, and although Gerken pulled off a superb save, the ball fell for Whittingham to stroke home.
The Bluebirds doubled their advantage when Adam Matthews' long ball found Gavin Rae, whose scuffed shot beat Gerken, leaving McCormack with a tap-in.
Two became three less than a minute later when Ledley played the ball to Chopra, who drilled a low shot past the keeper.
The former Newcastle and Sunderland striker turned creator for the fourth, whipping in a low cross which Fontaine slammed into his own net.
In his half-time team talk, Johnson may have reminded his men of the fact that Cardiff let a four-goal lead slip against Peterborough on 28 December.
But any hope of a repeat was extinguished less than a minute after the restart when Chopra added a fifth goal.
Mark Kennedy slipped the ball through for Jay Bothroyd, and his touch sent Chopra clear to score his second of the game.
The final gloss was applied by McCormack who received the ball from a corner and smashed it home from distance.
Bristol City did manage to avoid further embarrassment in the final half-hour and briefly threatened a consolation goal.
Jamal Campbell-Ryce fired straight at David Marshall from six yards and Nicky Maynard had the keeper scrambling to keep out a 25-yard effort.
But the night belonged to the Welsh side, whose first win in five league games keeps them right in the hunt for the play-offs.

You will notice that Maynard played against the mighty Bluebirds in this game...no wonder he craved a move to us...I just wonder how many Bristol City fans wished they had such a magnificent side to support....and although a lifetime away for them, geographically not that far. Begs the question with what the future holds, should we not put a little enclosure aside for them for next season perhaps...just a little pen!

Right then...me gloves are off!

Actualy...I just put them back on as me little pinkies is cold.

A few years back I had an invite to CCFC v BCFC game at Ninian Park in one of the boxes (our company had one) and what a cracking day it was.
Near xmas if I remember correctly. Anyways,it was drinks and a meal first, then a quick speach from Lenny Lawrence, with all the Cardiff fans asking Lenny if a certain Scott Murray was on the team sheet......I wonder why? (insert Ayotolla smiley here).
Cracking atmosphere in NP but Brizzle scored first with a Brian Tinnion penalty, followed by a certain Christian Roberts goal.....fair play to him not celebrating btw.

This weekend?.....home win is all I see, a draw if we get lucky and catch you on an off day!

Enjoy the day guys, and good luck for the rest of the season.

Caldicot C R...I remember Scott Murray doing particularly well against us in one game a few years ago. Can't remember the game, but I think we tried to sign him afterwards, and his head was turned...he was never the same again. Or have I got it wrong again?

Will the Wurzel fans give us a rendition of their locally devised past time as seen at the 6 - 0 game?

You know the one, programme throwing. That was worth the admission price on its own.

What about that game where we beat you 3-1, but without the programme throwing there was coins thrown, babies thrown, chairs thrown bottle of piss thrown..

Shame that wasn't worth the admission fee..

TMM.....I think that may have been in the game when he scored a brace?....probably his best season for us when he got 20 odd goals from midfield. He moved on to Reading then but came back the next season.....too much blue involved I suspect ;)

Hi Blue.....mmmmmm....trust you to bring that particular match up!

One of the funniest things I ever heared at AG that night was your fans singing "shall we bounce around for you?" and "you only bounce when your winning!".
I know we sang "Johnson said, bounce around the ground" all season, but I think the players thought it was "Johnson said, get TROUNCED around the ground"!

Hi CCR

Sorry to remind you of that.

I was at the game where Murray scored 2. Like Stead he always did well against us. Hope Stead doesn't repeat that on Saturday.

As usual you take the banter with good grace unlike the earlier Wurzel poster who seems an evenly balanced person with chips on both shoulders.

Thats the one TMM. Looks more like Tony Soprano though. He was a psycotic sociopath too. Although Lan Bodger appears to have masochistic tendencies too.

Fug it, that's not fair...African winger big smile on his face...moaner? Shucks I thought it said whinger!!

WINGER Albert Adomah is back in Bristol City’s squad after six weeks away on African Cup of Nations duty.

Adomah made five appearances for Ghana, who finished fourth in South Africa, and is now back in training with the Ashton Gate club.

It’s all change for Adomah, though, with Sean O’Driscoll appointed manager in place of Derek McInnes while he was away.

Bristol City coach Richard O'Kelly, also new to the club since Adomah joined up with Ghana, said: "Albert's back with us. He's got a big smile on his face, he's very happy and it's great to have him back."

Now that's frightingly funny:

' It gets worse as well, apparently it's not just horse in beef products and pork mysteriously appearing places. Now they suspect there might even be human DNA in some welsh lamb.' <laugh>

Taken off BC forum.

Defensive duo to return for Bluebirds

Cardiff manager Malky Mackay hopes to have defenders Ben Turner and Kevin McNaughton available for the clash with Bristol City.

Turner missed the Bluebirds' 0-0 draw at Huddersfield on Saturday after Mackay decided not to risk the centre-back and give him more time to recover from his ankle injury.

Scot McNaughton had to be taken off at half-time with a bad cut to his face so youth product Ben Nugent played the final 45 minutes but the right-back should be available again although he may have to wear a protective mask.

McNaughton may have to make do with a place on the bench if Turner gets the nod to return against the Robins.

More than 25,000 fans are expected at the Cardiff City Stadium for their first home game since the goalless draw with Ipswich on January 12.

Bristol City midfielder Neil Kilkenny could make a surprise return to action after returning to training.

The Australia international damaged his ankle in the victory over Ipswich on January 26, but he was back in full training with his team-mates on Thursday and is set to be available for the Robins in south Wales.

Head coach Sean O`Driscoll will also be able to select winger Albert Adomah for the first time after the Ghanian returned from international duty at the African Nations Cup.

Striker Sam Baldock, who scored on his debut in the 4-2 victory over Cardiff back in August, will undergo a late check on his calf injury but veteran defender Louis Carey will not be risked.

Club captain Cole Skuse could return but his fitness will be monitored before the short trip to face the runaway leaders.

Sparkey, not taking the mick mate, but just for those new to the forum, tell again about the game you missed those years ago...what was it five minutes to go when you got in? Who were we playing and what was the score? <laugh>
