Is there a reason not known to Masky, that the stadium name has not been over to a big national company? I mentioned years ago that it could be called The Principality...but that of course has gone. How above The Kentucky Fried Chicken Stadium, or even Toys Are Us Stadium? Imagine The Starbucks Ground? Surely big money up for grabs? Just saying like... Is Warnock really 69 well I ask you! Every time I read an article in WOL, they refer to “The 69 year old” Reminds me when Joe Lesley was here, always referred to him as “Fairwater born Lesley”! I though that was his first name to begin with TBH. If they were to write about me it could be “Doris owned Masky” or “ the well endowed 606er” Last year Warnock was referred to as “the 68 year old”....what next FFS pals?
For some time, the naming rights to the stadium were linked to Sam the Man somehow, I recall. That put a stop for some time, presumably. Now, I guess there's no stopper but maybe no-one wants to yet or they're holding out for better income if we get up. Otherwise, look out for some Malaysian link. Some have used it to get around FPP, I think. As for naming you Masky I reckon Tonto's Bumpal would work. Not much money in it, I suppose unless Doris has a bit extra put by for a rainy day or simply wants to give you a boost!!!!!
In light of recent events unlikely choices would be Toys R Us, Maplins, Chimichanga, Prezzo, New Look and definitely not Carillion. If it was KFC there would be no food deliveries for 2 weeks. If it was John Lewis the annual employee bonus (lol!!!) would reduce year on year. Any foreign business would have to give up once Brexit came about. Is there any business out there doing well enough to bung us £20m over 5 years for the naming rights if we go up? Or would it be an annual contract provided we could stay up? Don't hold your breath guys.
With the way Sparkeys bets have been coming in lately maybe heven should do the honours and call it the 7 to 2 Stadium???? ;-)
Well we cant call it the B365 Stadium - Stoke have got that haven't they? We could call it the Tormen Stadium if Dalman cancelled his £11M loan...........
It's scary how much money can be generated by a club by selling the naming rights. Obviously the more successful the club the higher the potential income. Apparently, when we were in the premier league our naming rights potential was £200k per year! That's nothing compared to what can be expected now, given the recent deals made by the premier league. I have no idea where you would get a definitive list of current valuations, google won't help much.
