See we beat everyone last w/end as the top sporting match/event being shown on the net , more hits than the F1,Ashes ,even Man Yooo v Chelscki... Seems the world is watching our Capital football side .........................;O)
new guys that have a bit of luck will always be hot gossip. It happened to us when we beat man city, chelsea arsenal and liverpool...So be realistic and don't get carried away as we and others found out the next time you play them...Just enjoy the moment...
Dulllad soz to take your one season spot light off you but the footballing world is looking at Cardiff City now ,we enjoy the moment in our thousands ...;O)
john you are miles behind us pal....you have a long way to go yet... trouble is we didn't have luck ............must try harder david. of course you had luck. you don't think you are at the level of man city do you christ you are not at our level let alone man city..
No Dai, we are not at the level of Man City, we didn't say we were, but luck wasn't the reason we won, good defending was.
the luck part was that man city took you to lightly and never gave you enough respect. they did the same to us. Man city could beat the both of us together if they never took the game as a forgone conclusion...
didn't they put four on you the first time you played? anyway them being over confident is not a case of luck for us but a sign of naivety on man city`s part surely
Dai! Did you ever consider the fact that we actually worked out how to beat Man City? I would say it was a bit more than luck.
It was just luck as Dai said, we were lucky that man citys defence allowed Kimbo to go on a little run and cross, Lucky that Whitts corner was placed perfectly and lucky that Campbell leapt like a salmon to out jump zabaleta. We were also lucky that the players worked for each other and just got in the way of the Man city players .
In the words of the great golfer...Tom Watson, when asked if he was lucky after a round of golf his reply was this. 'Dont ya know, the more i practice the luckier i seem to get' Says it all really. We obviously practised and practised how to contain Man City and it worked.....Thanks Tom. For Dai, you would do well to remember Tom's answer.
Sorry Dai - but you are way out of line. Why can't you just let Cardiff enjoy what was a momentous performance and result - there was no luck involved from what I saw - just a herculean commitment from the Cardiff players, and a tactical master-class from MM! They played as a team, with every player supporting every other player all over the pitch - it proved what I posted on another thread before the game; at the end of the day it is 11 v 11 and Cardiff were the more committed and more passionate team on the day. Your posts do smack a little of sour grapes; please be big enough to congratulate when congratulations are deserved and yes, we beat some big teams in our first season, but not at this early stage. Like many I expected a comfortable Man City win but was guilty of underestimating the sheer commitment and will to win that was apparent all through the game. Well done Cardiff - you need fear no one in this league - just go out with the determination and team spirit you showed on Super Sunday!
Nice post cartoonhead, lets hope both Cardiff and Swansea can do well and more importantly remain in this league for many years to come.
