Since Ole Gunnar Scholsker left, we have not had a manager who has tried to progress in cup competitions. We field weak sides, and we have to endure appalling performances in empty and bleak stadiums! Every season the same, for me the worst part of the season! Why on earth did NW carry on the “fashionable” approach, and out we go? Worrying signs last night because there were some reasonable players in there!
The Carling Cup final v Liverpool, put us on the map as a fighting team, with enough spunk to make a brothel blush! Is it time to accept the inevitable and scrap cup games? :emoticon-0103-cool:

<party>It’s like internet shopping! <party>Yes High Street shopping is changing big time...inevitable!

Don’t under why the fringe players underperform against lower opposition. Do they care? God help us if City need any of them if there are injuries. Hardly in prime condition to play against premier league opponents

I don't bother with games like this anymore...........complete waste of time unless taken seriously by the manager(ours doesn't)..............if anything being its just a throw away game for us why do they charge an entry fee at all....<rip off>

It's an odd one when you make a lot of changes. Put each of those individually into pretty stable starting 11 and they do ok. Put them in together and the wheels fall off. Seen it happen to a number of clubs and in different sports.
It's the number of changes rather than the individuals concerned.

I said on here before the game City should have played their best team as practice for the next PL game and hopefully play well and gain confidence.
Playing a rag tag team was pointless and as it turned out was counter productive except to prove to NW his fringe players are not up to scratch and shouldn’t be let near the first team.

Agree in principle with all of that but I think Norwich made 10 changes from the side thumped by Leeds. It didn't cause them any problems and perhaps their players wanted to prove something - unlike ours.

They seek him here, they seek him there, they seek BfB and his dopple ganger BT everywhere.

However Masky while I'm a couple of years older than BT, I'm much slimmer, fitter and better looking. Now where did I put my Specsavers appointment card? P.S. Not quite 65 yet!!!

You wouldn't want to be in the same room with BfB if you can help it. He will be wanting a refund on his prematch steak and chips next :cheesy:

At least I ate all mine. Didn't waste half of it like BT.

Which is surprising considering his expanding waist line. Son of Gluttony!!!
