Don't know if it's been mentioned before on here, but both us and Villa have notched up an extraordinary result in common earlier this season. We've both beaten the mighty Man City at home, and by exactly the same scoreline 3-2. In both games, Man City scored first and had much the majority of possession acording to the stats, with both us and Villa coming from behind to win it against the general run of play. Can't really draw any conclusions from that, but which of us were the luckiest at the time?
Well I thought we were lucky anyway. We've been told we only won because we were lucky Kompany was out injured. Villa must be better than us because Kompany played in that game and they still beat them. Logic lesson for us all there. Three goals scored when Kompany played for them is obviously better than three goals scored when he wasn't.
There are 2 words which explain the 3-2 wins. They are also 2 words which at the end could cost Man City the title. JOE HART. All those millions and they had the worst keeper in the PL.
It's been said we might have caught them cold, truth is they should have caught us cold, we are the ones wet behind the ears. If a team like Man City relies on one player then they have problems, ergo Kompany shouldn't have made that big a difference. If our midfield are on good form we have a chance to take this, but a draw would be most welcome in any case.
