I for one believe that the captain of my club should at very least make a statement about the speculation surrounding him. It's the honourable thing to do. Everyone seems to have given their two pennyworth but him. The fact that he's said nothing makes me assume the worst. I firmly believe that if he does stay, the captaincy should be taken away from him. He has shown no respect whatsoever to the fans that have paid his wages in all his time here. Some Leeds lad!

    Totally agree.

I'd like to hear what SG has to say on the subject too.

I don't think you'll hear anything from him until he's unveiled, wether its with us or some one else.
I don't think there's to many players these days who have any genuine loyalty to a club, it is just a job with a wage!

Hucks doesn't fall into the player bracket....
he is in the GOD bracket down in our little corner of the world.
Its a very rare quality these days & becoming even more rare im afraid.
Its more common in the "older" players i think, as they have kids(with there own wives) & settle in an area, were as these younger players are basicaly spoilt rich arogant kids who are up there own arse holes looking for super model wags & often never far from scandle ?
Mick channon & Martin Peters were another couple who were proud to wear the shirt. <ok>

Got hand it to hucks, twists the truth so it looks like he's been loyal, then charges £19 for the previledge of reading it.

And the suckers fall for it

The Spelling Policeman would have had a field day on this one!

Digging deep aren't you, Mick Channon will always be associated with Southampton and Martin Peters, well surely he's West Ham and Spurs with a last ditch pay day at Norwich!

Maybe this is all a ploy, so Bates can announce another signing of another player we already have..... without spending anything

Like Pugh (zzzz)... oh sorry he cost 10 bob

Not wishing to hijack your board mate, but the Martin Peters comment is a common misconception, He played for Spudz for 3.1/2 years, he played 6 years for us. But I take your point re: Mike Channon.

He was forced out of the club and then refused to ever play against us, so the only thing he could do was move countries as he still wanted to play. As soon as his contract was up in San Jose he was back over here working at the club.

LIW, you have come across as a rather bitter person in the last day or so. You have managed to get a very decent cross board article closed because of your insults.

    Chill the **** out, man!
