Oi Oi Spanish-great call with Paddy.

Would be an awesome captain..... if he is still the same player. Now granted, he has got a couple of hours of pre season match time under his belt, and yes, we are such a tight club that we would never offer a 2 year deal if there was any doubt he could break down the same/related injury, but I still need to see it 1st. Before he was injured, he optimised what playing for Leeds should be for me. Yeah he's rough round the edges, but afraid of nothing, and you never doubted he'd clear the danger and calm the back four when needed, during times of consistant pressure, something we didn't have last season.

I do think him and O'Brien could make an awesome partnership, and Grayson should start with those two, but who knows whats going on inside the head of Larry at times-he might plomp for Nunez and Gradel at CB lol:laugh:

Paddy or Brown for me with Howson remaining as vice captain at least for a few more seasons <ok>

Brown maybe new to the club but he is a leader & experienced & will boss the midfield with or without an arm band.

Kisnorbo as captain? Yes-good call Spanish.

    Would be our next Bremner/Strachan.

No problems with Paddy being captain if he proves his fitness and ability on the pitch..remember he's been out for a looong time

You know what Leeds are like when it comes to dishing out contracts. I was surprised it wasn't just for a year,so for them to give him two years must mean they're 100% confident he's fully recovered.

I would have no problem with Paddy being captain, I would however be a little worried how Howson would take being dropped and the impact that might have on both Howson and the squad. Could cause disruption in the dressing room.

I don't think Howson would be like that to be fair. I think he would understand and crack on accordingly... Totally agree Paddy as the main man with Howson as number 2 and as stated by Bucks Brown will lead naturally without needing the armband.

Slowly getting more revved up for this season...

Paddy still has to pass a fitness test to get the deal

nah snoddy is not a captain, he does not have those leadership skills. Plus in a perfect world your captain would be a GK or a CB so they can see everyone at all times, i'd say paddy with howson as vice

The captaincy's not really that important. Players like Brown and Kisnorbo will still be leaders on the pitch, regardless of who has the armband. I'd give it to Howson, because he had it for most of last season and Kisnorbo's fitness is still under question.

yea i agree with that best fans, just coz you dont have the captain's armband doesnt mean you cant be a leader
