I've just read Fontaines article in the BEP, Here's the link - http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/story-18267302-detail/story.html#axzz2MCQoUv8W. Reading it you can tell he loves the club and the armband was a burden to him if anything. Which is something you don't need as a captain. Being captain should mean no matter how bad you or the team are playing, Your voice is heard, You command and give anyone a bollocking who isn't doing there job properly. Now obviously we don't have "one of these" in the team at present so we will make do with what we have available to captain us to seasons end. My question is who do you want/think should be our captain next year. One of the comments in the article name Greg Cunningham and Brendan Moloney, These 2 are nailed on starters, Probably the only 2 names you could guarantee will start before you hear the line up. I would love Stead to be captain next year but cant see him being here and he wont play 46 games, Cunningham and Moloney will. We have Cunningham here with us until 2016 and Moloney until 2017 so there both here for the long haul and I think we could mould either one into captain material, Starting from next season. Out of the 2 i'd like to see it go to Cunningham, Who is up there for our player of the season. Thoughts? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Heaton yeah, Davies no, Davies wouldn't start every game so it would feel like he's not a proper captain.
