Parker is the obvious choice for captain this season and I fully expect him to get it, The only problem is I'm not sure that I would have Parker starting if everyone is fully fit! Think Sto kale would be my choice
I think you are right Cookie re; next seasons captain, my choice would have been Stockdale but Parker most likely, unless Felix brings in someone new and appoints him. I understand season ticket sales are below what was anticipated. ( looking at an average home gate of 15/18k )
I've always had it in my head that captains should always be centre midfielders or centre backs, not sure why. I think since we got rid of so many seniors that the only two that could take the captaincy are Stockdale and Parker (Richardson, Stek, Hugo - Too quiet, Amore doesn't even speak English fluently) so I would definitely give it to Parker. He's been around the block and I think he'll start almost all games he's fit for. He wasn't great in the Premier League but he'll be very valuable for us in the Championship.
I guess it's Parker by default at the moment. Most senior player. The 3 I would have chosen from have left. Karagounis, Diarra, or Sidwell.
