@NorwichCityFC: We are delighted to confirm the appointments of Russell Martin as Club Captain and Sebastien Bassong as Team Captain http://t.co/sjbV9cdhUX

Makes sense, Rusty isn't guaranteed to start every game, whilst you'd think Bassong will start every time he's fit.

Beat me to the thread Hairy!

I would say we all expected that. Glad Rusty gets club captain. Him and Wes are the old heads now.

I hope Bass gets plenty of time with the armband. The more he players the better we are.

Both excellent choices. Bit odd to have a team and club captain but I can see why.

It'll be interesting when they are playing together who wears the armband. Obviously they can both play the captain role but it shows who CH has first for Captain. My choice would be Russ.

I suspect that Russ is no.1 too but with Seb being a virtual nailed on certainty to start all games he's fit for and being team captain, he'll always get the armband.

As I've said elsewhere, seems like a very sensible decision.

Good thing is I think there were many candidates who you could argue for the armband. We have two ex Leeds captains in our squad, and although I don't normally like keepers being captain you could make an argument for Ruddy to be captain.

Think its a good choice, for me Martin is the new Adam Drury, someone I think will be here for a long while. You can also see how much he loves being at Norwich and nobody epitimoses our clubs recent journey better than him. From being a fringe player at Peterborough to captain of a Premier League team. Fair play Rusty.

He's a good choice, when ever I see him doing interviews he is very professional and well spoken.

Exactly how I see him, Drury reincarnate.
