It was announced that Capital One had entered into a 4 year agreement to sponsor the English Football League Cup on June 1, 2012. GKRK

it's had some muck sponsors which just goes to show how badly a naming rights of a new stadium could go.

    Football League Cup
    Milk Cup
    Littlewoods Challenge Cup
    Rumbelows Cup
    Coca-Cola Cup
    Worthington Cup
    Carling Cup
    Capital One Cup

All in all i think the coca cola cup was the biggest deal followed by carling cup.... rumbleows made it sound like an autowindscreen's shield level comp.

yes the sonsors deserve their money's worth but the league needs to sell it to peopel who will inspire teams to win it not field kids.... i'd field kids in a rumbelows....

The milk cup only had one winner during its sponsorship run (1982-1984), it was Liverpool, who beat Spurs in 1982, Manchester United in 1983 and Everton in 1984. On each occasion Liverpool also won the league.
