There's probably another of these floating around but here's somewhere to chat about what's going down on the mean streets of the Carling Cup.


First off - Rickie captains Liverpool at Anfield.

Delighted for him. Suspect he'll have a broad grin walking out there.

 

It's actually called the Capital One Cup LTL, shall I change the title?

Hopefully Middlesbrough win 4-3 after a Lambert hat-trick.

 

I remember the Rumbelows cup how old must I be.

 

Rumbelows is too early for me to remember.

Just checked and irrelevant to this cup but bbc are showing the FA cup this season.

 

I just call it the League Cup.

 

Well that's £5.5 million Capital One wasted then.

Glad for Rickie though. Just the hat trick for them and all his boxes ticked I think.

Answered myself: Electrical store that used to rent TVs.

 

Something to do with building supplies or removals if memory serves? I do remember the Rumbelows Cup too....

Yeah, sorry about that Capital One. Thing is, I can't be wrong with League Cup, because it is.

I remember the queues outside when they went under. They just sold everything off in one go from each shop after advertising. lol. These days they flog as job lot pallets to ebay merchants.

I was too late in the queue and only got a new AM/FM radio for £2
