He's come and said that he wants to manage a premier league club after leaving the England job.

Interesting that he's come out and said this now with the league coming to a close, and jobs such as the Chelsea job etc.. becoming "available."

However, if offered... would you take Capello over Kenny?

Many fans want a change of manager in the summer due to the poor league form, and whilst the cup run has been good for the amount of money spent a lot of people were hoping for considerable improvement in the league. However it wasn't to be, and whilst personally I think Kenny should be given a bit more time with an experienced and good Director of football (that FSG seem to want to employ), would you take Capello in the summer?

No, I cant stand Capello. His discipline at the last world cup was ridiculous, untrusting and patronizing to the players, and he was virtually asking for players to rebel.

He picked players in odd positions just to have there name on the team sheet.

He has had success at top clubs before, but no for me.

Plus, if Dalglish was to be replaced I'd want to see some one younger, not older, come in.

    bascially no.

this guy said england was his last job and he'd retire. he is older than kenny!

in short this is the action of a money whore.... he's after another pay day and has 10s of millions to live off for 20 years? nah pure greed.

If we are getting ANYONE we should be getting a yonger guy but right now i'd dearly like to see carragher retired and put into the academy coaching structure and brought up over the next 5-6 years...... mark my words barca will win the league again if they fix the complete imbalance i ntheir squad (2 cbs total, 1 striker, total, myriad wingers and CMs) their new guy will continue the work.

New blood = good, comeplte change of staff every 18months = disaster.

No chance, when we replace Kenny i want it to be someone who could be with us for 10 years and bring something fresh. I think Capello's tactics are questionable, i don't get the impression he could motivate players, I never saw England setep it up in a second half.

Personally I don't want him as our manager either, however he has had success with Milan, Madrid, Roma and Juventus winning the domestic league with them all (however Juventus' were revoked). The England job is never a good indication of how good a manager is at club level.

You have to remember that managing Internationally and Domestically are two different things. Capello's domestic record is amazing and has done it at the highest levels.

I think it's unfair to judge him as the England Manager. I'm not sure anyone could do any better with the dross that plays.

Having said that, I agree with the majority - he's too old to take over and we need a manager for the long term. I really do see Rafa as a manger in the future.

I would have Rafa back you know, he made us a team that could beat anyone at any ground. He had his faults and some would say it would be a step backwards and that we're living in the past. At least with Rafa he's familiar with the set up & we know he can do the job, a lot of other managers are a risk.

I hate our people keep referring to it as 'going back to an ex'. He's a top class manager and he's relatively young. Not only this, he is passionate about the club. Unlike Mourinho, he sees things for the long term, hence the investment in the acadamy. Contrary to what people believe, Rafa bought well especially when he got his first targets.

With a win rate of 67% and therefore the best ever England manager, he can't of been that bad. He was boring and unlikeable though, thats how I feel and I think a lot of you too. He was brilliant at club level too as has been stated, but I would probably go elsewhere to be honest. I would have AVB, Benitez, Bilbao or Dortmund manager.

One thing Capello does have is knowledge of every single Premier League team from watching game after game after game.

Another problem with Capello that I see is that, if things dont go our way immediately, he won't really be given the benefit of the doubt and there will be a lot calling to sack him, partially because of the last World Cup, even though his overall win percentage was very good

    No.

He is a fantastic club manager, but don't think he would fit.

You need someone young with your club imo. Thats why kenny is a bad fit. You need modern football. Capello is a great manager though. Anyone suggesting otherwise knows nothing about football. In england we love throwing great managers under the bus because they failed ONCE. Same with players. Look at henry. Failed at juve and many here wouldnt want a "failed" player. Its a bad english attitude that hurts clubs and england over and over again.

he has lowered his stock with the god awful job he did for England. You don't think that this is the man who won the lot in Italy, you think this is the ****er who told players they had lost the captaincy or would never play again in the media rather than face to face. I think he will struggle to get any respect from any prem player.
